To Buy or Not to Buy

It’s always amazing to me how in the least likely places you run into people that you would never expect.

Example.  In Guatemala my wife and a friend of ours randomly popped in a free art gallery, after browsing around we came into a room where an artist was showcasing his work.   At first glance his paintings seemed, well different.

Different in a good way.  We viewed his work and talked to him for a bit.

He had some very interesting advice. His paintings depict how in our modern culture we worship “things” whether brands, or items.   As we talked with him he stated how every day whether we realize it or not we are making a statement with the things we purchase, and invest our money in.

I had never really thought about it like that, and it made me think that I should.

  1. Interesting perspective, I hadn’t thought about it like that either. How we spend our money and how we spend our time does give us a pretty good idea of what is important in our lives. May we all be focused on Christ today. Be blessed today and bless someone else!
